Summary
Original Giscol Common are high quality wire-cut bricks that replicate the old ‘Giscol’ bricks, featuring a roughcast burnt appearance and characteristic colour variation.
The manufacturing process has been faithfully recreated to achieve an authentic reproduction of the original bricks, historically made by the Glasgow Iron and Steel Company.
Historically used in industrial towns in Scotland and the North of England, Original Giscol Common is a sustainable alternative to sourcing reclaimed bricks for extensions and renovations.
Available in an imperial hybrid size (metric size with imperial height), fully frost resistant and manufactured to BS EN 771-1 standards.
