Cambridge Military Hospital | London

Project Scope: Historical hospital restoration

Project Industry: Extension/Renovation, Residential

The Cambridge Military Hospital has been transformed into a collection of modern apartments and houses.

The historic Cambridge Military Hospital first opened in 1879 and was used as a first base hospital to treat casualties during the first world war.

Weston Homes acquired the grade II listed building in 2019 with the plan to convert the hospital and ancillary buildings into a collection of apartments and houses.

The Cambridge Military Hospital was restored to preserve its original character while creating modern living spaces. Key features like the high ceilings, fireplaces, panelling and staircases were retained to ensure minimal changes were made.

We matched and supplied our Weathered Original London bricks, which proved to be the most appropriate choice to match the existing brickwork.
